GEODES, AGATE: Geodes are nodules that are cut and polished. They have hollow centers lined with crystals. Sizes range from 2” to 12” in diameter. Geodes come in singles or pairs and are cut in different ways: “pots” cut so 2/3 of geode sits flat, lid is separate; “cut-base” geode where the bottom of ½ of a geode is cut so that it sits; and a nodule where it is cut producing two almost equal halves.
